Former Pro Amanda Traynor (Rangers FC Women) Named as Conference Manager for UPSL Women Florida Conference

November 2nd, 2023

With another highly competitive UPSL Women’s Fall season coming to a close, exciting additions are being made for the upcoming Spring season. The UPSL is thrilled to announce the expansion of the UPSL Women Florida Conference, now welcoming additional teams. Overseeing the conference will be Amanda Traynor, former Rangers FC, NCAA Division 1 and Scottish Youth National team player.

In just its second year, the UPSL Women Florida Conference stands out as one of the few high-level adult women’s leagues in the region. The conference already includes five prominent local soccer clubs: Florida United Soccer Club, Dade County FC, Little Haiti FC, Naples City FC, and Naples Captains.

Amanda Traynor, the newly appointed conference manager, shared her excitement about her role within the UPSL Women Florida conference.

“I am really excited to be joining the UPSL and help grow the women’s game in Florida. I grew up playing professionally in Scotland at Rangers Football Club before moving to the Miami area on a soccer scholarship. Even after retiring, I’m still very heavily involved in the game—my goal is to help female athletes get to the next level and help create that platform for them.”

“We currently have five very competitive teams taking part, all with a mixture of NCAA college players, top youth prospects and some professional players in between seasons. This league is ideal for players who have finished their college careers, top youth academy prospects or any player looking for high-level competition as they make their next move in their playing career.”

The UPSL Women Florida Conference is now approaching the conclusion of its season over the next two weeks. Top team, Florida United, is fighting to clinch the league title, with Dade County FC and Little Haiti FC closely trailing by just two points each. Following the Fall season playoffs and a brief winter break, the Spring season will kick off next year with an open invitation for additional teams to participate.
