First-Ever UPSL Women’s National Championship Set for KC Current’s Premier Training Facility
The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is proud to announce that the inaugural UPSL Women’s National Championship will take place at the Kansas City Current’s brand-new, state-of-the-art training facility—an $18 million complex designed exclusively for the Current’s National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) team.
Scheduled for the weekend of July 18–20, 2025, the UPSL Women’s Spring National Finals will bring together the top eight pro-development teams from across the country to compete for the title and a $10,000 grand prize.
This landmark event marks the first-ever national championship for UPSL Women’s semi-professional soccer and will be played on FIFA-approved turf fields at a facility that sets a new benchmark for the women’s game.
UPSL Commissioner Yan Skwara commented on the significance of the occasion:
“This is a landmark moment for women’s soccer in the UPSL. Creating a true national championship for our women’s teams is a major step forward in recognizing the talent, dedication, and growth of the women’s game. It’s about providing a platform these athletes deserve and building a stronger, more visible future for women in soccer.”
The KC Current’s training complex stands as the first of its kind—purpose-built for a professional women’s team—and will serve as an inspiring backdrop for this historic tournament.
“We are thrilled to bring our Women’s National Finals to the KC Current’s world-class facility,” said Amer Mian, UPSL Women’s National Director. “This partnership is an exciting step forward for the women’s game. We look forward to delivering a high-quality championship event and celebrating the exceptional talent in women’s soccer.”
